FIND OUT WHAT TYPE OF EATER YOU ARE
Choose which ones best describe you (you can choose more than one):
The Careful Clean Eater is vigilant about what foods you put in your body. You may agonize over every morsel you eat, scrutinize food labels, and food plan religiously. You run the fine line of genuinely interested in health and eating carefully for the sake of body image. You are often guided by time or events, like eating “clean” during the week to “cheat” on weekends.
The Professional Dieter is perpetually on a food plan/diet. You know a lot about portions of foods, dieting tricks, and calories. Every eating choice is for the sake of losing weight, often in the guise of health. It’s not unusual for you to binge or engage in the “last supper” before starting a diet. You are often frustrated with the vicious cycle of dieting: diet; lose weight; gain weight.
The Unconscious Eater is often engaged in paired eating. In other words, you’re on your phone or watching TV while eating. You often live an over scheduled life, too busy, too many things to do and with too much chaos. You often take a quick 15-minute lunch on the go. You often go too long without eating (because they forgot or didn’t have time) and then overeat.
The Waste-Not Unconscious Eater is the “clean-the-plate” eater, and often eats the kid’s leftover food too.
The Refuse-Not Unconscious Eater is very vulnerable to the mere presence of food whether or not you are hungry. You are not aware that you are eating or how much you are eating. You might walk by the office break room and grab a handful of M&Ms and not even realize it.
The Emotional Unconscious Eater uses food as the predominant way to cope with emotions, especially uncomfortable ones like anger, stress and loneliness.
